FAQs

Who pays for the Advertising? The owner pays for the advertising when placed in the newspaper.  However, through Kobatakerealty.com we post on several different real estate sites, at no cost to the owner.

 

What are the management fees? We charge 8% of the gross monthly rent. For studio condos in the Ala Moana/Kapiolani area, we charge only $50/month.  Call for a complete list.

 

What other fees may be incurred? Rental income is taxable in the State of Hawaii and the owner must pay 4% GET tax on the gross monthly rent.

 

Do I need insurance coverage? Most condominium association do carry insurance coverage however owners may also want to look into liability (renters) insurance. Single family homes should already have homeowners insurance, which we will request a copy of.
